kids camera snapshots

Do you let your kids use your camera? I am trying to let mine more and more.

Every so often I say 'No'.

It is usually when I have a lot of pictures stored on it {because sometimes it mysteriously gets wiped clean} but... I am trying my best to let them learn more about photography and to capture the beauty they see around them. They are quickly becoming good little photographers and I am feeling the need to do a course of something so I can teach them more!

Chelsea came and found me one evening and asked to take the camera outside. I said 'Yes' and I was delighted to find the pictures she captured of the tree out the front of our house. The rest are different pictures that the kids have taken and a brief snapshot into the antics around our house. Enjoy.

  1. Great photos!

Last year each of the children got a camera for either their birthday or Christmas because they were always borrowing mine and I was a nervous Nelly each time and wasn't able to let them really 'run free' with their creativity.

It's a wonderful thing for kids to be able to take photos, you are often surprised with what they come up with.

A tip though, get them to save their seven squillion images onto their own memory stick or you may find that you have carrier pigeons sending email messages instead of the internet and a little man inside your harddrive pedalling his guts out to power the thing.

  2. I loke the bench and Bird photo the best...very cool! My kids are photo crazy... my 13 year old daughter finally saved up enough money to buy her own camera!

  3. You have some talented little photographers there! My girls love my camera. Kahlei (21 months) has only just started to be interested, but she is literally obsessed. I love letting them play and explore as well as teaching them they need to be careful with it. I am thinking about getting them a camera each, purely so that they aren't fighting over mine all the time!
