Christmas wrap up - Part 1

We are an adventurous bunch in our family and to keep the kids entertained over the Christmas break we have been having a few outings to bring smiles to the kids faces.

To start with we headed off to Dreamworld - 4 adults with 13 kids.
Seriously outnumbered but lucky we have awesome kids to supervise.

* chatting with a few favourite characters *
* worn out from too much fun *
* loving the merry~go~round *
* trying to get a decent family picture - check out Harmony on the end! *
* cousins loving treasured time together *
* riding the rapids ~ what is up with the hand signals this year? *
* enjoying the large fans on a hot day ~ looking cool! *
 * I went on my favourite ride ~ THE CLAW *
* Some of us were brave enough to go on 'The Giant Drop' ~ it is scarrrrry! *
* Some of us just tried to look cool in the sun *
We took 13 kids off to the movies to see 'Megamind' in 3D.
The kids and the adults really enjoyed the movie and we were so blessed that we were
able to get all of us in free!
We spent some great family time busting a move to the Michael Jackson Experience on the Wii
and I have to say the kids are quite shocked that I am so good at it!
Michael and I go way back and I don't think they will ever beat my score on the
Thriller dance sequence. Ha!
The rest of the time we have spent chilling, swimming and being cool!

Hope you are enjoying your holiday break.

  1. Man, I cannot believe you are brave enough to ride The Claw! I seem to have lost all that youthful enthusiasm for adventurous rides :(

  2. I can't believe you went on that thing!! I am soooo afraid of heights I have trouble going up in lifts!
You guys looked like you had so much fun! Cousins are the best :-)

BTW - do you think we will all have snazzy signatures by the end of summer (thx again JANE!)

  3. I'd pick The Claw any day over those revolting rides where you're stuck in a centrifugal spinny ride [I was always scared that someone was going to lose their Dagwood Dog and we'd all be splattered!].

Fun times for all, & yeah for you on the Wii!

  8. My you are brave taking so many kids to dreamworld! I went with my friend once and her 7 nieces and nephews and it was full on! I was in my early 20s and I don't think I have ever been so exhausted! Looks like you all had an awesome time though.

Love that you're beating your kids on the Wii - seriously the best game console invented! Will have to check out the Michael Jackson one myself when I get a chance - sounds like fun!

  10. Great pics Naomi, looks like everyone (except perhaps Harmony-love that pic of her) had a good day. The Claw is my favourite too. Went on it twice..the boys three times.
    Happy New Year! :)

  11. Looks like everyone had a great time (except Harmony perhaps?)- seems like she's saying nope enough already)
The Claw is my favourite too. :)
One thing I hated, was the lizards everywhere!!!!!!! I have a lizard/gecko/goanna phobia. So sometimes I felt I was in Nightmare World not Dream World.
The boys thought I was more brave dealing with my lizard phobia than going on the scary rides!!!
Thanks for sharing your adventurous day Naomi. :)
