Liberty turns 3

Finally the day arrived for Liberty to have her birthday.
She waits and waits and waits for her day to come.

It is tough counting down so many other family members to wait until your day to celebrate.

Now that she understands what birthdays are all about and is a professional present un-wrapper, she delights in all her day has to offer.

To celebrate the kids birthdays I love to take some pictures to remember them. I know I have mentioned on here before how Liberty gets in these moods where she only likes to have her picture taken in certain poses.

She chooses a pose and that is the only way I can capture her on camera. Like the time I could only take her picture with her mouth wide open. I am so glad she has moved on from that pose but now she only wants her picture taken asleep.

Could be worse!

So here we are:

I know. It is cute but not really how I want to remember her on her third birthday.

I did however, manage to get some pictures of her awake. Unfortunately, there is not enough room on this blog to describe all the bribing and convincing techniques I had to use to get these pictures taken.

So below we have the treasured birthday shots:

In keeping with tradition, here are 3 things I love about Liberty:

1. I love her kisses. She kisses me on my cheeks, my nose, my eyes, my forehead and chin. It cracks me up and makes my heart melt at the same time.

2. She can mix it with the best of them. She can prance, dance and perform in front of the mirror and be all girlie and then the next minute she can also wrestle and wield a mean light saber in a star wars battle with the boys.

3. She is super cute and happy and know what she wants and how to express herself. She constantly says 'I need to Mum! I need to!' and 'Can I mum, can I??' on everything that she feels she wants and needs. It is just a little bit nicer after years of hearing 'I want it now' and the I am just going to do it type of attitude.

I am so blessed to have this little cherub in my life. She almost did not make it to our family and I am so glad we decided to have her come join us.

Liberty adds a pinch of joy to everything we do.

  1. Happy Birthday Blossom!

You are one bright and sparkling jewel in a special family and you really do live up to your name.
To be free to be who you want to be right down to telling Mummy how you want to be photographed is a wonderful quality.

I hope that you have a fantabulous day with lots of pressies, lots and lots of hugs and fun times, and lots & lots of cake and treats.

Hugs to you and your beautiful Mummy

    Felicity xx

the posing thing just gets funnier the older they get I think.
my 4.5 yr old thinks posing involves tongue poking & waving arms around..hmmm.

Oh, Naomi, I know how much work goes into snapping photos like these - well done you! You need the patience of a saint to do it ☺. The effort was well worth it with these beauties. J x
