Matt

Flashback Picture: 2003. Me 8 months pregnant. Matt preparing for his 4th child to be born.

I don't talk about Matt enough on my blog. He is the reason I often feel inspired to write, he is the reason I am where I am today and he is the reason I am so blessed in my life. We have had a wonderful marriage together and it has been full of tears, laughter and craziness. Most of that from me! He has supported me with all of my crazy ideas in life and backed me 100% with all of my blog projects I get so excited about doing.

He is a wonderful father to our children. He takes the time to talk to them, to listen to them and although he is a very busy man himself, he works really hard on keeping up a great relationship with each child. Not an easy feat with seven cherubs let me tell you.

He loves a big breakfast, he loves to teach, he loves playing his guitar, he loves INXS, he loves talking to everyone (insert rolling eyes from all children and me), he loves to be busy and he loves the temple. He is very easily pleased and is very content with how his life is right now. He does not have big dreams and over the top wishes in life (they all come from me!) and his happiness comes from his family.

Together we are on this parenting journey of raising our seven cherubs the best that we can and I am so thankful and grateful and happy that I get to do this with Matt. He has been loving me and supporting me through the younger years of all of our children and the challenges we have faced with them. I think we make a great team together and I know that we can achieve anything we set our minds to.

Sweetheart, you are an awesome father to our children and we love you very much.
Happy Fathers Day!

  2. Truly gorgeous.

Captain V and I have just returned from our afternoon walk and I said to him "Imagine Father's Day in the Seven Cherub home!".

His reply "Now 'that' would be something!".
Hoping that Matt was spoiled rotten with hugs, great music, delicious treats and lots of love.

    xx Felicity

  4. Aw, that's beautiful, Naomi. I love hearing about more about my favourite blogger's other halves. They are so important, and so supportive of what we do here, it's lovely to hear more about them and see them talked up and praised.

Your Matt sounds like a keeper.

xxxx Hope he had a wonderful Father's Day.
