The Wiggles Big Aussie Road Trip

If you are off road tripping around Australia this holiday season, road safety is surely on your mind as you think about keeping your family safe on our busy Aussie roads. The Wiggles and Volkswagen have joined together to help promote road safety for families and children and have created a great free App for your cherubs to download to keep them busy whilst travelling. This App is available to download on iphones and ipads.

In The Wiggles Big Aussie Road Trip, children complete a selection of puzzles related to locations all around Australia. To enhance the experience, videos and key road safety messages are part of the journey. My cherubs enjoyed playing on it and working their way around Australia. Watching the short clips of the Wiggles is their favourite part though. We have had the App for months now and my cherubs still enjoy playing on it.

The App is also supported by an informative website, wigglearoundaustralia.com.au, which includes information for parents about road safety and travelling with children. A road safety book for kids is also available to downloadable from this site. As part of their partnership, Volkswagen is involved with The Wiggles concerts and this year is taking the application on the road as an exciting edition to the Wiggles concert experience.

This year is an exciting year for The Wiggles as they celebrate their 20th Birthday! Wow! Celebrating with a tour around Australia, we were very excited to have the opportunity to go see the Wiggles in concert here in Brisbane. I took along my three youngest cherubs to check them out. See below:

{I have to say that I simply said to them, let me get a picture of you and all three of them stood in this pose without any instructions. Children of a blogger! Eeek!}

We stopped to check out the Big Red Car, jumped in the long line up and waited to go inside the Wiggly Tent full of fun! Wiggle's concerts are sure popular...the line up was huge and my favourite part was seeing 4 adults lined up waiting with one cute cherub. Parents and grandparents all coming along to see a cute Aussie cherub at their first Wiggle concert. Priceless!

My cherubs were very excited when The Wiggles came out to say hello to everyone waiting in line. I loved my Sam saying hello to Sam from The Wiggles and telling him that they had the same name. I also loved seeing this little arm getting so excited waving at The Wiggles, constantly yelling, "Hello Wiggles, Hello Wiggles!'.

The Wiggles sure know how to put on a great concert. We had an awesome time along with many other families and cherubs. They are funny and fun. They sure are an Aussie favourite.

Santa even came to visit and danced around yelling out to all the cherubs. I may have even had more fun than my cherubs. Only because I knew the words to all the songs! C'mon, they have been around for 20 years you know.

If you have never been to a Wiggles Concert let me share that if your cherub makes a bone for Wags The Dog or takes a rose for Dorothy the Dinosaur that The Wiggles performers will come out to the audience and take them from your cherub. So cute watching their faces light up being able to give them something.

So if you have a cherub who loves The Wiggles head on over to the website and download your free App for them to play with. Educational, entertaining and featuring an Aussie favourite.

Any other Wiggles fans out there???

  2. We are big Wiggles fans in this house. Recently we got Annual passes so we can ride the Big Red Car as many times as we want (or he wants. Because for me, five times that first day was reallly enough).

The app sounds interesting- pitty we did our big annual road trip a few weeks ago!

  4. Master 6 used to be a HUGE Wiggles fan. Mr. C took him to a concert last year (I think?), just the two of them. It was so cute to see him extra excited, all dressed up in his Wiggles costume! LOL!

  6. Yep, we are big Wiggles fans in this house. We went to their concert in Melbourne in December. I even wrote a post about it. :)

So glad your little ones enjoyed their experience too. My little girl's face beamed through the whole show, especially when she got to give a rose to Anthony. A highlight!

  7. Looks like you had a great day - and thanks for the app suggestion, they are my lifesaver at the moment. A current fav in this house is Tozzle - check it out if the Wiggles one ever gets boring.

  9. I liked the Wiggles until this nonsense started last week.
There are now no longer fans nor viewers of any content not including Sam in protest.
He helped them out at a time of need and was stabbed in the back :(
