Mama Love Cashmere Cardigan Giveaway

The older I get the more I want clothes that are stylish and comfortable, not just stylish. Gone are the days of just wearing clothing because it was stylish no matter how much it cost or how uncomfortable it was. I am a Mama now who seeks comfort to help me when I am rushing around after my cherubs but I still have that desire to want to look good at the same time. Finding clothing that fits both categories is getting harder and harder as I grow older. Some days I feel like I am turing into a grandma with my dress standards but one of my favourite clothing pieces that I believe is a must in a wardrobe is a good cardigan because it fits both roles.

I am a very happy Mama right now as I have a new favourite cardigan that I am wearing almost daily. It is a gorgeous knit from Mama Love that can be worn anywhere. It looks amazing over jeans and boots, dressed up a little more with pants or at home with your PJs on in front of the TV and the grey marle colour works well with everything.

It is very comfortable and long. Even though I am short I love a long cardigan. It is big enough to wrap around and cover my chest...rare for me and a must! Often I find a great cardigan but find it sits too short. I am not tall or thin so I love a cardigan that covers me up and allows me to feel comfortable with the way I look as well. I am wearing a size large and probably could have gone the medium size but I like my cardigans a little bigger.

Mama Love is a online store that stocks quality clothing for women, men and babies. Their focus is on brands of sleep & loungewear that is 'Mama' friendly. The pieces are not only functional but gorgeous to wear. I love that this cardigan would also be great to wear whilst you are pregnant and is one of those great pieces that you can keep in your wardrobe and wear pregnant or not.

I adore that this cardigan is soft and so comfortable. I love to wear it tied up and also hanging open. The cardigan is made from a blend of Cashmere/Wool/Angora. It is light weight but still keeps you warm on cold mornings and is wonderful for layering up no matter what you have on during your day. My new favourite outfit to wear for the school drop off and to keep on for other activities and events I have on during my day.

I am really, really delighted that I have one cardigan to giveaway here on my blog.

  1. Love this Cardigan - very cozy

  2. My tip is to keep it simple. Simple essential items always get me through the week, for work or play. My favourite item has got to be a simple jersey top that I can dress up or dress down with.

    ReplyDelete
  3. The Cardigan looks gorgeous and so soft and comfortable. Im definitely a mama that is after comfort!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. My Tip- go for classic cuts that don't date as quickly.

    ReplyDelete
  5. That looks soooo warm!! Perfect for the chilly weather at the moment!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Simple and comfortable items are my must have mummy style staples. This looks PERFECT!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Gorgeous cardi! My biggest tip to keep it stylish as a Mummy.... basic staples! I have a few staple items in my wardrobe that I mix and match all the time. Also, pretty accessories can make all the difference to an outfit :)

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't have a tip! I am the least stylish person I know!
I'm entering because I am freezing cold and am wearing my husband's jumper. I do not feel or smell stylish at all! Hahaha :)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Lots of black and red and a good pair of stretchy skinny jeans with boots. Then you can almost get dressed in the dark because every thing matches!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Find classic but comfy clothes and you cant go wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Love the cardigan, I find it hard to be a trendy Mama and I'm only 28! Would love a cardigan like this as at the moment I'm wearing the same jumper over and over (washing it at night!).

    ReplyDelete
  12. Lots of staples like a black dress, black pants, few nice jeans (not ones that show your crack lol) with a nice selection of colourful tops and funky shoes and boots.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I love this cardigan Naomi, the colour really suits you! I love a good cardigan, but my staple piece of clothing is jeans and this year I'm wearing a pair of skinny jeans, that they are tight against my calfs so I can wear them inside my boots! Great for keeping my legs warm!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Being conscious of getting ready in the morning. Being a SAHM it is all too easy to chuck on trackie pants and a shirt. Even if I am not leaving the house, I put on some nice clothes and a touch of makeup. Makes all the world of difference to how my day goes. I have been looking for a cardi like this one for AGES. Being a tall (long body) girl, I need longer cardi's - which you can't find anywhere. Love love love it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Learn what suits you and stick with it, go for different colours and fabrics to change the look -don't just purchase one because everyone else has one - if you don't like it now, that probably won't change!!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm not stylish by any means but I do always try to make sure I have mascara on before I leave the house. A great set of jeans, I wear mine nearly everyday. Black leggings are a must, you can pair with dresses and tunic tops. And a little bit of perfume tops it off, it doesn't matter what you look like if you smell amazing! Who knows you may even be able to pull off the "I'm not ironing my top" look, or just cover it with a cardie.

    ReplyDelete
  17. My tip is to know your style, what suits your shape etc. The build a classic wardrobe with basics and then accessorise seasonally because accessories are cheaper (e.g. scarves, hats, jewellery).

    ReplyDelete
  18. So hard to stay stylish in this cold winter weather with a one year old :) but i continue to try! hahaha cardigans, scarfs adn jeans are staples of mine!

    ReplyDelete
  19. My tip is Layering!! If a top is long cut (showing a bit too much cleavage) Sleeves aren't long enough, or what i hate Jeans sitting on the waist and when you go to sit down shows something thats not too pleasing to the eye ... Yes ladies we've all seen it ;) Well i layer it. Either wearing a long singlet underneath. Or a 3/4 plain top under a statement top. Layering is fun especially in Winter!! But wouldn't layer more than 3 layers, might add bumps and lumps where you didn't know you had. haha :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Oh snuggly!!! I love cardigans - used to have a much bigger collection before culling for the Big Move!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I want this, I saw it somewhere else this week and thought I just need to have it.

Tips for style....read blogs and get some advice from those that know, my styling gene never fully developed!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Tip to stay stylish as a mumma - try not to lose the pride you had in your appearance before you had kids and you went to work each day. Pop on a bit of mascara and lipgloss and if your clothes are dirty, DONT wear them, even if you are staying home for the day. If you feel fresh and lovely, then you WILL be!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I would love one for church. My tip is: be comfortable.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I am not usually a cardi person at all , but this one is sort of nice

    ReplyDelete
  25. Best tips are to stick with the classics, know your body type and work with it and to get dressed in some nice clothes in the morning even if you are staying close to home - makes you feel much better! What an awesome cardigan - hope I win!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Michelle WhiteJune 18, 2012

My tip is to know what your style is, im known for layers...and beanies! :-) but its nice when you get a compliment, so i continue to try and be a stylish mumma...even my 5 yr old will tell me :-)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Natural fibers - cotton and will especially, I always feel more comfortable and confident in natural fabrics than synthetics!

    ReplyDelete
  28. apparently wearing trackpants and crocs and hair just pulled up and not brushed is not very stylish esp in public! I am really trying to be a yummy mummy instead of a frumpy old hag. But what I wear is me and comfortable. I don't copy what other people wear coz its not me!

    ReplyDelete
  29. My tip - always have a pair of well-fitting jeans. These can be dressed up or down, worn with heels or flats or boots, teamed with t-shirts or jumpers or blazers. Jeans never go out of fashion, they hide unshaven or untanned legs, and flatter your shape no matter how big or small you are!

    ReplyDelete
  30. My tip is to buy a few statement pieces that will see you through the seasons; a good coat, pants, boots, etc. Also, buy for your body shape!

    ReplyDelete
  31. For every day style, a good pair of comfortable jeans. I wear jeans almost everyday and in summer if its too hot for jeans, it will be denim shorts or 3/4s. I also much prefer, now that I am older, a roomy, yet fitted shirt. It covers the lumps and rolls that come with having 4 kiddies!! I also love scarves more than I have ever before. One piece of advice I have picked up along the way is, if you like it, buy it! You may not see it again!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Like a lot of mums out there looking after our cherubs comes first, looking after ourselves can hit the back burner.
So my style tip would be to take the time to add your favourite accessory to an outift such as a beautiful pair of earrings, a great ring, necklace or even just a touch of your favourite lipstick (even the most expensive ones that you hide away for special occasions)Every day is special being a muma so take the time so you can walk out the door with that extra 'ZING' feeling and feel great in the chaos of motherhood :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh love this cardi! Big fan of grey as well- goes with everything and makes you feel relaxed just looking at it!

    ReplyDelete
  34. My tip - mix it up! Get your staples in a few different shades and mix it around. Keeps each outfit looking different every time. The cardi is gorgeous and looks so great!

    ReplyDelete
  35. My tip is - don't hide your figure! Us curvier ladies can be tempted to cover up with baggy pieces in order to "hide", but this only makes you look bigger! Fitted clothes are more flattering when they accentuate your curves in all the right
    places :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Keep it simple. Have a few pieces that make a little statement but if you keep the rest simple, you don't have to think about it when you are in a rush for school drop off or whatnot.

    ReplyDelete
  37. No trackies out in public unless it is a sporting event! :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Kristie McKJune 18, 2012

My tip is to take 5 mins before running out the door to make sure YOU are happy with what you see. Just five minutes and make it second nature to make that five minute effort....

    ReplyDelete
  39. My tip, keep it simple and do YOUR hair.. I always feel better when I take 5mins to make a bit of effort with my hair rather than just pulling it back in a knotted bun! x

    ReplyDelete
  40. when you are a mum with babies, try to avoid black as it shows the baby sick, a patterned top tends to work well! I love the photo of you with the cardigan open...very smart.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Emma McAllisterJune 18, 2012

My tip... Buy what fits & looks nice not what size you think you are/ want to be! No one can read the size on the label but they can see that it doesn't fit or flatter. Btw I LOVE the Mama Love cardigan its gorgeous :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. My tip - Accesorize! I like to keep the wadrobe to the basics, and add accessories to suit the occasion, or how i'm feeling!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Simple and Stylish are a must. Lots of comfy jeans and boots in winter are easy to dress up or down. I also love a good jacket or cardy as they are easy to through over a plain top and dress up with a scarf or accessories.
LOVE this cardy. you look gorgeous in it Naomi

  45. Denise LediaevJune 18, 2012

Love to wear jeans or black pants, with layered pieces, lots of black and white, with a colourful scarf or jewellery to add a pop of colour. A pair of comfy, pretty flats & youre ready to go! This cardigan looks like the perfect piece to add to any wardrobe!

    ReplyDelete
  46. AnonymousJune 18, 2012

My tip is to be confident and comfortable in your own clothes. If it feels too short....then it probably is. If you spend all your time adjusting your clothing then it can't make you feel good. This cardi is gorgeous and i looks so soft and comfy. Lovely model also :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Lisa RobertsonJune 18, 2012

A stylish mama is one who simply feels comfortable as she is and who knows the love of her kids is more than enough.I am so the same as you, and often feel like the daggiest mum at school - but I don't care. I love seeing you model the cardigan as I am also short and often feel I would look too silly, but seeing it on you, I can tell I wouldn't. This would come in so handy as we are off to Victoria for a month in a few weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm a mum of a very large family and for me ease of care is very important when it comes to stylish clothes- if it needs ironing or dry cleaning forget it! I like to keep it simple- it has to be comfortable and suit my figure but look good at the same time. I also dislike fiddly clothes, and they have to be easy to breastfeed in. I have had too many disasters with white so I steer clear! lol
Dressing an outfit up is easy with accessories, but for me these need to be baby friendly so anything dangly from ears is out, my baby would pull on them, so small earrings are a must and necklaces have to be strong.
I also love boots with a low heel, makes me feel good while being comfy.
One last point, I have just had to go out and buy a whole lot of new clothes as I have lost a heap of weight- and I feel so much better for it! So I would also say make sure that your clothes fit you, no matter what your shape- you feel a whole lot better if you're not trying to squeeze into clothes that are too small or like me, pull up clothes that are too big- and they look better too! :)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
