the rose garden and 15 years of bliss

The rose garden in the Adelaide Botanical Gardens is a special place for Matt and I. It is where we had our first kiss. As we were in Adelaide for our Christmas holidays and we recently celebrated 15 years of marriage, we decided to revisit the rose garden and have some fun remembering that special moment.

I remember the first time I saw Matt, I knew he was the one. We dated for 4 weeks. Got engaged and 3 months later were married. We both just knew it was right. The best decision I ever made, was to say yes to this wonderful man I call my husband. He is always so kind to me and I am so thankful for that.

Of course being surrounded by beautiful roses in a gorgeous setting was the perfect moment to plant that first kiss on my lips. So romantic! The children were less than enthusiastic about visiting our special spot and of having to watch us look lovingly at each other the whole time we were walking there but we were not about to let seven grumpy kids stop us from remembering our special moment :)

As we sat on our seat and held hands this was our view. Our cherubs totally bored out of their brains!! Laying all over the place complaining and asking us when we were moving on. Ha ha! Hilarious!

You can see the excitement?

Anyway, Matt and I had a wonderful time remembering and acting out our first kiss. Who knew what a crazy adventures our life was going to be because of that kiss. So, so grateful to be married to such a great guy. 15 years. The time has flown by and the years keep getting better and better. Big thanks to Chelsea who took this picture for us and was not totally grossed out about her parents kissing in public!

Where did you have your first kiss?
